VITEEE 2018: Your Gateway to Vellore Institute of Technology



VITEEE 2018 (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam) is conducted to give admission to engineering aspirants in their 4 year B. Tech Programme. The students will be given a range of options to pursue their B. Tech degree, after successfully performing in the entrance exam. The application forms are available to be filled online and it can also be obtained offline. The merit list of the candidates will be formed on the basis of their scores, based on their merit list they will be offered different campuses. 

VITEEE 2018

The application form for VITEEE has been released. The schedule for the Engineering Entrance Exam is as given below. The last day to apply will be in March 2018 and the exam will be conducted in April.

VITEEE Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for VITEEE 2018 candidates must check the eligibility criteria, and only on fulfilling the eligibility criteria they should go for filling of application form.
Age: Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1996 are eligible to apply.

Nationality: 

·         The applicant should be a resident or non- resident Indian National.
·         Candidates who are studying or have studied in Foreign can apply through foreign category only.

Academic Qualification:

·         Candidates appearing for VITEEE 2018 should have secured an aggregate of 60 % in PCM or PCB at 10+2 level from any state board, ICSE or CBSE.
·         Candidates belonging to SC/ST category and those from the North – Eastern states are given relaxation of 5 % so they need to score only 50 % aggregate marks.
·         The candidates can be a passed out or appearing in 10+2 in 2018 can also apply.
•    High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
•    General Certificate Education (G C E) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
•    ‘NIOS’ candidates can also apply.

Application Process for the Entrance Exam

The online Application process will be completed in some steps. The steps are given below. Application forms are also available in offline mode.

·         Registration: First of all candidates need to get themselves registered by providing their relevant details, email id and mobile number. All the further communications will be done through the registered email and number.

·         Online Application form filling: Provide all the necessary details. An application number will be generated after submission.

·         Application Fee payment mode: Candidates can pay the fee using online mode through Net banking / Credit / Debit card. NRI candidates can pay through online mode using credit card.
·         Candidates should keep a scanned copy of signature and photograph ready before filling the form.

Photo and signature specifications:

The size of the photograph and signature will be from 10 to 200 KB and dimension will be 3.5 CM X 4.5 CM and 3.5 CM X 1.5 CM respectively.

For General candidates the online application form fee will be Rs 1150 and For offline Mode it will be 1200 Rs and for NRI candidates application fee will be 50 USD.

Exam Pattern for Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam

  • For PCME there will be 125 questions in total. Physics, Chemistry and Maths having 40 questions each and English having 5 questions.
  •  For PCBE there will be 125 questions in total. Physics, Chemistry and Biology having 40 questions each and English having 5 questions.
  •  No negative marking.
  • All questions will be multiple choice questions type.

The result for VITEEE will be declared in April and the Admit card will be released in March. Before getting the admit card, candidates need to book the slot for their exam. The slot booking for VITEEE will be opened tentatively in the third week of March 2018 where candidates will have to book a slot on the date and time of their convenience. VITEEE slot booking will be on a first come first serve basis and has to be completed before candidates can download their admit card.

SOF Results of IMO, NSO and IEO (level 2) To Be Declared By Mid Of March 2018

SOF Results SOF results for 2 nd level exam are going to be declared by the mid of March 2018 . The score cards will be released by the SOF (Science Olympiad Foundation).
