The All India Pre-Veterinary Test or AIPVT 2015 is scheduled to take place on May, 2015. The exam aims to select candidates for the 258 seats (approximate) available in the 30 colleges that accept its score. These colleges include College of Veterinary Science, Hyderabad, College of Veterinary Science, Guwahati, College of Veterinary Sciences, Hisar, and College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Bikaner and more. Since these colleges are spread all over the country, you wouldn’t have to go far from your home to study if you get selected.
The entrance exams is yet to be announced and most probably it would be announced in 2nd week of March. The student who are planning to appear in AIPVT 2015, it’s time for students to gear up for the test and make best use of the last few months. It is a time to revise what you have studied, brush up on the difficult concepts once more, and increase the number of times you solve practice papers. But before all, you need to be sure of what the paper will be like.
Pattern of exam for AIPVT 2015
There will be three sections of the paper: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. While Physics and Chemistry carry 60 marks each, the Biology section, which is divided into Botany and Zoology, is worth 80 marks. Botany and Zoology each have 40 marks worth of questions. The total marks are therefore 200. Each correct answer carries 3 marks and each wrong answer will lead to the deduction of 1 mark.
What to refer to?
The students from state of J&K cannot participate in the test until a special affidavit is submitted. Despite that, there is a tough competition owing to the low number of seats. Moreover, the negative marking tends to make battle even fiercer. The syllabus for AIPMT and AIPVT is almost the same. Both require you to study Physics, Chemistry, and Biology up to the 10+2 or whatever equivalent level is applicable.
So, if you are a student who has also prepared for AIPMT, then there is not much you have to prepare separately for AIPVT.
Student can practice the previous year papers and get an idea about the type of questions asked in the exam
