KCET 2018 is conducted by the
Karnataka Examination Authority which is to be held on 18 and 19 April, 2018. This is a state level exam
which is organised for all the candidates to secure their admission in
Engineering, Farm Science and Technology and AYUSH courses, in different
college situated in Karnataka. The candidates can register for their entrance
examination if they successfully fulfil the norms of eligibility.
The KCET 2018 exam consists of multiple papers such as Physics,
Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology. Every day the entrance exam will be held in
two slots the first will be held from 10:30
am to 11:50 am and the second slot
would be from 2:30 pm to 3:50 pm. And the Biology and Mathematics exam paper
will be organised on 18 April 2018, in both the slots respectively. The exam
papers will be organised in the morning session on
19 April, 2018, while the Chemistry exam will be held in the
afternoon session but on the same day.
The candidates who are appearing for
the KCET 2018 Examination
must know that the exam level will be for 1st and 2nd
PUC. And the syllabus of Karnataka common entrance test includes the same topic
that the candidates should study. And for the applicants, the complete syllabus
for 1st PUC and the 2nd PUC is available. As, there are
34 subjects in total important for KCET
2018 which is for both 1st and 2nd PUC respectively.
For almost every candidate it will be benefited from this, as they will be
already analysing for their board’s exam as per their existing syllabus.
Some Tips to
prepare for the KCET 2018 entrance exam:
- You should plan a proper schedule and make an appropriate time table so that you can give equal time to each subject.
- You must prepare yourself by practising the previous year question paper.
- Beside preparation you must keep yourself focused and healthy.
- You should concentrate on the basic topic or concepts and must try to solve them in the specified period of time.
- Prepare a note of your necessary topics and points.
- Last but not the least you must balance your strengths and weaknesses according to the chapters or syllabus.
The KCET 2018 will be organised through offline mode only i.e. it is a
pen and paper based exam. It will be a multiple choice question type and will
contain 60questions in each section. It is of 320 minutes duration and each
section is of 80 minutes respectively. Each and every right answer will be
allotted one mark each. And as there is no negative marking applicable therefore
no marks will be deducted for any incorrect answer.
All the candidates who so ever are
interested and eligible candidates can fill their application forms and for
registering them they need to pay Rs. 650 (General & OBC category) and similarly for SC/ST
candidates it is Rs. 500. Every candidate can register themselves by visiting
the official website and only through online mode. As, there is no offline mode
entertained for the candidates to register themselves.
