NTSE Application Form
NTSE
Application Form 2018-19 will start from the first week of August 2018. The students studying in Class 10 can apply for NTSE Exam 2018. The NTSE Exam is conducted
at two levels: Stage 1 and Stage 2. The NTSE stage 1 exam is conducted at state
level by 36 states and union territories in India. NTSE Application Form 2018 for stage 1 exam will be distributed at
different dates by different state and union territory. Among lakhs
of students appeared for stage 1, around 5000 are selected for NTSE Stage 2
Exam. The NTSE Exam Stage 2 is conducted by NCERT and only 1000 students are selected and awarded NTSE Scholarship. Indian Students
studying in abroad can also participate in NTSE Exam. They can directly appear
for second level which is NTSE Stage 2 Exam.
Latest Update: NTSE Application Form 2018-19 is expected in August
2018 by every State/UT.

NTSE Application Form 2018 and Fees
NTSE Application
Form 2018 will
release from the first week of August and may differ from state to state. The
NTSE application form will be distributed separately by different states/UTs on
different dates. However, the candidates should confirm the last date of
submission of application for their respective state/UT. The candidates
can fill and submit the NTSE
Application Form 2018 from both online and offline mode. Here are some
important instructions about the NTSE Application Form:
- To apply through Online Mode, Candidates need to fill the online application form from SCERT website of their respective state.
- To apply through Offline mode, Candidates can collect offline application form from the State/Union Territory Liaison Officer.
- Candidates should fill all the details in the NTSE application form and submit it before the last date of submission.
- The filled application form should be signed by the Principal of the School.
- The Indian Students studying abroad can download NTSE Application Form (Stage 2) from the NCERT Website. (They need not to appear for Stage 1)
- The NTSE Application Fee for Stage 1 exam will be notified by every State/UT. For NTSE Stage 2 Exam, there is no fee charged by NCERT.
NTSE Exam Eligibility
Students who want to participate in
NTSE 2018 make sure that they fulfil the NTSE
Exam eligibility criteria before applying. The eligibility criteria for
NTSE Exam are:
- Candidate should be an Indian Citizen
- Students studying in Class 10 can participate in NTSE
- Students must secure minimum of 60% marks in Class 9
- Students qualifying NTSE Stage 1 are eligible to appear for NTSE Exam 2
- Indian Students studying abroad can apply for NTSE Exam. They can directly apply for NTSE Stage 2 Exam.

NTSE Reward
The
students who qualify NTSE Exam will be entitled to NTSE Reward. The students
will be awarded monthly scholarship from class 11 to their PhD studies. For
Class 11 & 12 studies, the students will get Rs. 1250 per month. For undergraduate and post graduate studies,
the students will get Rs. 2000 per month.
For PhD, the amount will be paid as per UGC norms.
About NTSE Exam
National Talent Search Examination
(NTSE) is a prestigious National level Scholarship
Exam. The minimum eligibility for NTSE Exam is Class 10 Students. The NTSE Scholarship program was launched in
1963 by National Council of Educational Research and Training
(NCERT) to identify and appreciate intelligent and talented students. This
scholarship is for students studying in Class 10 to pursue courses in Science
and Social Sciences.
